Food Made Good Awards 2016
When we were asked by the Sustainable Restaurants Association to produce 18 winners' plates for the Food Made Good Awards in London last week, we jumped at the opportunity. However, although we pride ourselves on our bespoke plates, we must admit this was a first for us. With little time to spare, we first fired all the plates with the Food Made Good Awards logo stencilled in Cobalt Blue. Artist Hugh Dunford Wood was commissioned to do the calligraphy for each winner which we rendered onto each plate and fired again. We are delighted with the results. Perhaps the best part was seeing all the winners brandishing their plates at the event and one winner (The Gallery) even took theirs to bed with them!

The Food Made Good Awards recognise that all food can be delicious, ethical and sustainable in the restaurant industry. The 2016 winners included: Poco, Daylesford, River Cottage, Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, Wahaca and Lussmans.
Poco Broadway Market won Restaurant of Year
Jamie Oliver deservedly won Raymond Blanc's Sustainability Hero award for his contribution to the restaurant industry and healthy eating over the past two and a half decades. It was 25 years ago that he was serving guests at the awards whilst at Westminster Kingsway College.
In his speech Raymond Blanc noted "Jamie's enthusiasm has been utterly infectious and compelling. ...throwing himself into campaigns with an unrelenting passion and commitment, Jamie carries people with him, leading them to a better place." We couldn't agree more.
